Ladies Diamond Set Wedding Rings

Updated: Feb 4, 2021

When it comes to ladies diamond wedding rings or wedding bands, there are main options available.

The most classic style is the channel set. This is where you have one row of diamond with a band of metal on each side of the ring.

No claws hold in the diamonds, rather the metal overlaps the diamond keeping it in place.

The second style of diamond set ladies wedding ring is the pave set style. This style of wedding ring had individual claws on each of the diamond. It also has a thin band of metal on the side so the diamonds are not exposed. Generally the metal on the side is not as thick compared to the channel set.

The third style is the claw set or scallop set. This style, similar to the pave set has 4 individual claws holding each diamond. However the difference being the claw set does not have the protective metal on the side. The diamond consumes the width of the band.
